 Regulatory tracking system

Regulations are constantly being reviewed, updated and changed, and this is particularly so in the area of Health Safety Environment. It is therefore critical to establish a customised regulatory tracking system. This allows you to identify from among the  legislative texts those that apply to each company :

  • Identify the demands that are applicable to the company ;
  • Advance planning on regulations that could influence your company operations;
  • Avail of assistance to fully understand the new demands ;
  • Win time.
  ICPE Management – Classified Installations for the Protection of the Environment

Ensuring compliance with administrative and legal demands is the first procedure that a company undertakes with regard to the environment. The company must provide itself with the means to maintain compliance with environmental regulations. Installations and facilities that represent a risk for the environment are subject to legislation on classified installations for the protection of the environment (ICPE Law).

  • ICPE Classification;
  • Assistance with collecting the necessary information;
  • Operational support with administrative procedures (DREAL, fire brigade, Prefecture, etc.).
 Waste management

Environmental regulations mean that the waste producer is responsible for the management and elimination of that waste. Among the objectives of measures introduced in France by the Grenelle Environment Round Table is the reduction of 15% of waste brought to landfills or incinerators by 2012. Waste management can have major impact on company turnover. Major savings can be made by :

  • Reducing the volume of waste ;
  • Reducing the cost of waste processing ;
  • Introducing waste sorting measures ;
  • Reusing or recycling waste on site when possible.

GEOS provides you with support in order to manage waste from an organisational, economic and regulatory point of view :

  • Conduct a review (volume of waste, type of waste, etc.) ;
  • Research on waste disposal and management systems and processes ;
  • Make a « waste »  regulatory monitoring system available.
  Operational support for the implementation of an Environmental Management System - EMS

Environmental problems will remain a major concern over the coming decades. The environmental performance of companies and local government has become an unavoidable challenge. The certification of an environmental management system (EMS) based on an international standardization process, means that companies must be regulatory compliant.

GEOS provides support in order to establish an EMS (based on ISO 14001 or EMAS standards) :
  • Evaluation of initial situation, a comprehensive review according to international standards frame of reference ;
  • Establishment of priority actions on the most sensitive points and precise definition of the EMS;
  • Identification of resources and means required for EMS implementation ;
  • Proposal of a plan of actions for EMS implementation ;
  • System assessment :
    • Evaluation of objectives reached as part of the EMS;
    • Proposal of improvement and corrective measures.
